1. Getting Started

The WNZ 2in1 Heat Pump Cylinder combines innovative heating efficiency with smart home convenience.

Before you begin, ensure all electrical and water connections are properly completed by a qualified trades person.

Please note that since 2026, we have 2 types of models. Please refer to the correct model you are using, as settings are quite different.


Models from Late 2025 onward

Q: How to Connect the 2in1 Heat Pump Cylinder with Wi-Fi

A: Follow the steps below to connect your cylinder to your home WiFi using the controller and mobile app.

Step 1: Enable WiFi on the Controller

  1. Go to your hot water cylinder.

  2. Open the controller screen.

  3. Tap “Function”.

  4. Select “WiFi Distribution”.

  5. Tap “Intelligent Distribution Network”.

  6. Wait until the WiFi icon starts flashing — this means the device is ready to connect.

Step 2: Connect Using the Mobile App

  1. Open the app on your phone.

  2. Tap the “+” (Add) icon in the top corner.

  3. Select “Add Device”.

  4. When your 2-in-1 cylinder appears, tap to select it.

  5. Enter your WiFi password.

  6. Wait a moment while the connection is set up.

Q: How to Set or Adjust Water Temperature for Your Hot Water Cylinder

A: You can adjust the water temperature in two simple ways:

  • Using the controller on the cylinder

  • Using the mobile app

Option 1: Use the Controller on the Cylinder

  1. Go to your hot water cylinder.

  2. Open the controller screen.

  3. Tap the screen to activate it.

  4. Adjust the temperature by:

    • Tapping the minus (–) or plus (+) buttons, or

    • Dragging the yellow dot left or right to set your desired temperature.

Option 2: Use the Mobile App

  1. Open the app on your phone.

  2. Tap “Hot Water Machine.”

  3. Adjust the temperature by tapping the minus (–) or plus (+) buttons.

  4. Once finished, tap “Settings” to view or manage all temperature settings.

Q: How to Set the Timer for Your Hot Water Cylinder

A: You can set a heating schedule in two ways:

  • Using the mobile app

  • Using the controller on the cylinder

Option 1: Set the Timer Using the Mobile App

  1. Open the app on your phone.

  2. Tap the cylinder image.

  3. Tap “Settings.”

  4. Tap “Timer.”

  5. Tap “Add.”

  6. Create schedules by setting the time you want the water to heat.

Option 2: Set the Timer Using the Controller

  1. Go to your hot water cylinder.

  2. Open the controller.

  3. Tap the screen to activate it.

  4. Tap “Function.”

  5. Tap “Timing Functions.”

You can set up to three heating periods per day, depending on your needs (for example: morning, evening, and night).

To Set a Timer:

  1. Select the first “Timer ON” and “Timer OFF” setting.

  2. Set the “Turn ON” time and tap “Enter.”

  3. Set the “Turn OFF” time and tap “Enter.”

  4. Confirm the settings by tapping “Enter” again.

Your first timer is now set.

Additional Settings

  • To add more heating periods, repeat the steps above.

  • To use the same schedule every day, select “Repeat.”

  • To set different schedules for each day:

    • Choose specific days (Monday, Tuesday, etc.)

    • Set “Turn ON” and “Turn OFF” times for each day individually

Q: How to Turn on ‘Boost’ Mode for Your Hot Water Cylinder

A: Boost Mode provides rapid heating when your hot water is running low or if the heat pump is not operating.

How to Turn On Boost Mode

  1. Go to your hot water cylinder.

  2. Open the controller.

  3. Tap the screen to activate it.

  4. Tap “Function.”

  5. Tap “User Commands.”

  6. Tap “Boost.”

  • The Boost icon will appear, indicating Boost Mode is now active.

How to Turn Off Boost Mode

  1. Tap “Function.”

  2. Tap “User Commands.”

  3. Tap “Boost.”

  • The Boost icon will disappear, indicating Boost Mode is turned off.

Q: How to Check Error Codes in Your Hot Water Cylinder

A: If your system is not operating correctly, you can check for error codes directly on the controller.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Go to your hot water cylinder.

  2. Open the controller screen.

  3. Tap “Query.”

  4. Tap “Notification Information.”

  5. Tap “Fault Record.”

  • Any error codes will be displayed on this screen (if present).

1. Once installation is complete and connections are secure, switch on the unit.

For Homeowners Using the 2in1 Smartphone App

Once your home Wi-Fi is available, you can control your 2in1 system directly from your smartphone.

2. What are the Warranty and Support from us?

Your 2in1 Heat Pump Cylinder is backed by a 7-year warranty, giving you confidence and peace of mind.

  • Cylinder: 7 years

  • Heat Pump: 5 years

  • Electrical Element: 1 year

  • Sacrificial Anode: Not covered

Delivery & Installation Information

Customers can pick it up from our Sockburn Warehouse.

Or please contact us by emailing admin@warmth.nz to check your shipping cost if delivery is required.

If you require installation or on-site setup, our service rates are:

$150 + GST for the first hour

$110 + GST per hour thereafter

• Travel charges may apply outside Christchurch.

3. What Are The Maintenance and Owner Responsibilities

To keep your system running efficiently:

• Regularly check and replace the sacrificial anode when required.

• Keep the system in good working condition.

• Contact our office to learn more about our regular maintenance services.

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

• Incorrect installation, improper operation, or unauthorised modifications

• Power surges, lightning strikes, or unstable power supply

• Corrosion or freezing due to poor water quality or lack of maintenance

• Labour, transport, or service call-out costs for inspection or repair

• Normal wear and tear (e.g., anodes, filters, fuses)
